What a treat to be able to hear the same track on two different LPs, cut by two different lathes and mastering engineers. I think Lalo Schifrin’s “Pampas” won a Grammy Award, so it is not a surprise that Yarlung wanted to include that track on both records. And what an audiophile treat! It is fantastic to know that Doug Sax cut “Pampas” on “Antonio Lysy at The Broad,” and that Bernie Grundman cut “Pampas” on “Te Amo, Argentina.” Both are wonderful and yet so different. What a privilege to have this comparison available. Thank you Antonio!
